Svarog and the Center for Youth Technical Creativity “Technosphere” jointly created an advanced Unmanned Surface Vessel (USV) called “Kalan”. Unmanned Surface Vehicles (USVs) and/or Autonomous Surface Vehicles (ASVs), also known as drone boats or marine drones (hydrographic drones) are designed for marine data collection. Specialists from the Sakhalin branch of Svarog made a significant contribution by providing hydrographic equipment and the experience of hydrographic engineers.

Director of the Sakhalin branch of Svarog, Anton Kutuzov, expressed confidence in the partnership, emphasizing: “We are partners, providing all the necessary hydrographic equipment and the experience of our hydrographic engineers. We are actively involved in the development of the device in terms of hydrography.”

The unique Kalan USV  was successfully tested on Lake, attracting the attention of local media in Sakhalin. This USV, the only one of its kind in the country, is designed to explore the bottom of reservoirs and sea bays, replacing the labor-intensive work of an entire team.

Svarog employees played a key role in the creation of the drone, ensuring its accuracy and functionality. The Kalan hydrographic drone collects data on the depth and topography of the bottom with the highest precision down to the centimeter, providing engineers with the necessary information for effective hydrographic surveys.

A special feature of Kalan is its versatility – almost any equipment for various water research can be installed on its platform. In the coming year it will undergo large-scale work in the waters of the Sakhalin Island.

This innovative device will use actively to study the topography of the seabed, providing valuable data for further research. The video report was prepared by ASTV TV COMPANY: https://astv.ru/
